The Ask

Amount Asked: ₹50 lakhs Equity Offered: 5% Implied Pre-Money Valuation: ₹10 crore

Pitch Presentation

The founders entered carrying samples of their Maggi creations — a move that immediately changed the energy in the Tank from analytical to sensory. The food tasting was a genuine highlight. Vineeta Singh shared that she had Peri-Peri from Hungry Head and appreciated the taste. BizzBucket The quality of the product was not in question — the Sharks liked what they ate. The pitch narrative was built around the emotional truth of Maggi in Indian culture. The founders walked the Sharks through the brand's origin — three college friends who started in 2013 with the idea that Maggi, India's most beloved comfort food, deserved more than a pot and two minutes. They shared the story of Yash's passing and the personal significance of continuing the venture, adding emotional depth to what might otherwise have been perceived as a novelty restaurant concept.

Sharks' Reactions & Criticism

Ashneer Grover was the most blunt. Ashneer went out directly as he didn't find Maggi as a fast food business worth investing in. Aman Gupta appreciated the brand and the founders' energy. Aman appreciated the branding but did not envision it becoming a major brand, leading him to opt out. Anupam Mittal raised the scalability question around delivery. Anupam mentioned his uncertainty about the future plans, believing that Maggi may not thrive in the delivery business, and he too chose not to invest. Vineeta Singh praised the creativity and the taste (she had specifically enjoyed the Peri-Peri Maggi), but Vineeta opted out, citing the need for more experience in running the business. Namita Thapar was the most emotionally warm in her exit. Namita Thapar loved the creativity but personally could not relate to this sector and turned herself down from the pitch.
