Entrepreneur Background

Kirti Bikram Acharjee, Sourav Chakrabarty, and Satyajit Chakrabarty are Season 4's most Assam-origin femtech founders who built India's most innovative reusable period panty brand from Bangalore. The three co-founders met while working in Pune, where they noticed a gap that affects half of India's population every month: despite menstruation being a universal biological process, millions of women still struggle to find menstrual products that are simultaneously comfortable, affordable, sustainable, and reliable. "We're not just solving a problem; we're creating a movement. Our reusable period panty is designed to provide comfort, convenience, and sustainability. We believe it's a game-changer for women everywhere," Kirti shared during the pitch.

The Product / Service

GoPad Free is a reusable period panty that replaces disposable sanitary pads through patented multi-layer absorbent technology built directly into the underwear. The panty looks and feels like regular cotton underwear (no bulk, no visible pad lines, no discomfort) while providing leak-proof menstrual protection through three hidden functional layers: a moisture-wicking inner layer (keeps skin dry), an absorbent middle layer (captures and retains up to 30ml of menstrual fluid), and a leak-proof outer barrier (prevents any seepage to clothing). The 50-wash durability converts a one-time purchase into approximately 4 years of menstrual protection: at 12 to 13 periods per year, 3 GoPad Free panties can handle an entire menstrual cycle rotation for 4 years, replacing approximately 600 to 800 disposable pads that would have been used during the same period.

Pitch Presentation

Kirti, Sourav, and Satyajit walked into Season 4 Episode 32 with the most intimately important femtech pitch of the season. Their presentation addressed the menstrual hygiene crisis with specific statistics: India generates 12.3 billion disposable pads annually, most ending in landfills where they take 500 to 800 years to decompose. Meanwhile, millions of women in rural India still use cloth, ash, or nothing during periods due to the cost of disposable pads. The GoPad Free demonstration showed the panty's construction: the multi-layer technology, the cotton comfort, the leak-proof barrier, and the 30ml absorption capacity. The founders emphasised the 50-wash durability, converting the cost comparison from per-period to per-year: GoPad Free costs more upfront but saves dramatically over its 4-year lifespan versus monthly pad purchases. Vineeta Singh's response was the pitch's most emotionally validating moment: "Thank you for making this product." From the CEO of India's largest D2C beauty brand, this was not just appreciation but recognition that HealthFab was solving a problem that every woman experiences but few brands adequately address.

Sharks' Reactions & Criticism

Vineeta Singh delivered the pitch's most emotionally powerful statement: "Thank you for making this product." Aman Gupta wanted to partner with Vineeta from early in the pitch, recognising that the female hygiene category needed Vineeta's consumer insight alongside his D2C scaling methodology. Anupam Mittal joined the coalition, bringing digital consumer platform scaling expertise applicable to building HealthFab's online presence and brand awareness campaigns. Peyush Bansal joined, bringing Lenskart's consumer product scaling and manufacturing optimisation expertise for driving down the per-unit cost from ₹500 toward the ₹167 target (3 for ₹500). Namita Thapar stepped out early but made the most strategically valuable non-investment contribution: asking about urinary incontinence, confirming the market demand for HealthFab's planned category expansion and validating the roadmap from her pharmaceutical healthcare perspective.

Negotiation & Offers

Season 4 Episode 32's most multi-Shark femtech negotiation. Founders asked ₹1 crore for 3% (₹33.33 crore). Namita exited early. Vineeta offered ₹50L for 1.75% plus ₹50L loan at 9%. Aman wanted to join Vineeta. After negotiation, four Sharks combined: ₹2 crore for 7% equity from Aman, Anupam, Peyush, and Vineeta (₹50 lakhs each) at ₹28.57 crore valuation. Founders received 2x their capital ask (₹2 crore versus ₹1 crore) at a modest 14% valuation markdown (₹33.33 crore to ₹28.57 crore), with four strategically diverse Sharks providing consumer brand scaling, digital marketing, manufacturing optimisation, and female consumer expertise.

Final Verdict

Kirti Bikram Acharjee, Sourav Chakrabarty, and Satyajit Chakrabarty accepted the four-Shark deal from Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Peyush Bansal, and Vineeta Singh at ₹2 crore for 7% equity, valuing HealthFab at ₹28.57 crore. Each Shark contributed ₹50 lakhs. The deal brought consumer electronics D2C scaling (Aman), digital platform marketing (Anupam), manufacturing cost optimisation (Peyush), and female consumer brand expertise (Vineeta) into India's most patented reusable period panty brand, the most comprehensively Shark-backed femtech deal of Season 4

Beyond Shark Tank

"To scale effectively, we're strengthening our team, building category awareness through education and marketing, and expanding distribution into offline retail. By investing in R&D, expert talent, and strategic partnerships, we aim to make reusable period underwear more accessible, trusted, and widely adopted." — Kirti Bikram Acharjee HealthFab has continued its growth trajectory post-Shark Tank. The company reported marginal profit in FY24 after earlier years of reinvesting into product development, marketing, and inventory. The patent for absorbable undergarment technology strengthens the brand's competitive position as more entrants target the reusable period underwear category. "Shark Tank gave HealthFab national visibility overnight. It brought period underwear into mainstream conversation. It helped break taboos around reusable menstrual products. The backing of four well-known Sharks also added strong brand credibility."
