Entrepreneur Background

Jessica Madan is one of Season 1's most personally motivated founders — a pet owner who looked at her own dog Zorawar's genuine distress during salon grooming visits, understood that this problem was universal among India's rapidly growing urban pet-owning population, and built India's first mobile pet grooming chain to solve it. Jessica Madan is an inspiring entrepreneur and co-founder of Flying Fur, a unique pet grooming service based in Delhi. Since May 2016, she has been dedicated to creating a convenient and stress-free grooming experience for pets and their owners. Jessica's journey into the pet care industry reflects her passion for animals and her commitment to providing high-quality services. Jessica Madan is the founder and CEO of Flying Fur. She was 30 years old at the time of the Shark Tank pitch and based in Delhi. Jessica recognised the challenges many pet owners faced when trying to find time to take their furry friends to grooming salons.

The Product / Service

Flying Fur is India's first and largest mobile pet grooming chain — operating custom-fitted grooming trucks that visit pet parents' homes or apartment complexes on appointment, delivering full-service professional pet grooming inside the truck without requiring the pet owner or pet to travel to a salon, through a franchise model with a centralized booking system. One of the standout features of Flying Fur is its state-of-the-art mobile grooming salon. Equipped with hot and cold running water, a full-sized tub, and an adjustable grooming table, the mobile unit provides a comfortable and safe environment for pets. This setup allows groomers to perform services without the stress of traditional salon settings, ensuring pets are relaxed throughout the process. Pets are never crated or caged.

Pitch Presentation

Jessica came into Shark Tank India in episode 16 with a small dog named Zorawar and her two other business partners. Anupam revealed the secret during the demonstration of the Flying Fur service truck that except for him, all the Sharks were scared of dogs. The revelation that four of India's most prominent business figures — people who negotiate billion-dollar deals without flinching — were collectively nervous around Zorawar was the pitch's most unexpectedly humanising moment. The service truck demonstration was brought to the Shark Tank studio — showing the Sharks what a Flying Fur grooming session looks like from the pet's perspective. Hot and cold running water, a full tub, an adjustable table, professional grooming equipment — all inside a custom-fitted van that parks outside a pet parent's building.

Sharks' Reactions & Criticism

Ashneer Grover was the most analytically critical. Ashneer asked why the brand didn't think of becoming a one-stop solution — grooming, vet, products, etc. — and thinks that the brand is just a pure operations play. Aman Gupta exited for a personal reason. Aman didn't think that he is the right person because he is not passionate about pets. Namita Thapar exited on expertise grounds. Namita also got out because she doesn't have any expertise in this space. Peyush Bansal and Anupam Mittal also exited — Anupam with characteristic warmth, wishing the team well. Anupam cracked a joke that if they really wanted a deal, he told them to leave a dog before all the Sharks.

Negotiation & Offers

There was no negotiation — no Shark made an offer. All five exited before any counter-offer was possible.

Final Verdict

On-Screen Deal: NO DEAL — All five Sharks exited
