Entrepreneur Background

Prachi Shevgaonkar is Season 3's most internationally decorated young climate founder. She founded Cool The Globe from her college dorm room, converting a personal environmental concern into a global climate action platform that now operates in 150 plus countries. Her recognition portfolio reads like a United Nations honour roll: Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2024 (Social Impact), COP27 Young Scholar Award presented by India's Environment Minister, Young Changemaker of the Year honoured by India's Finance Minister (2022), and advisor to Tata Power on climate strategy. "I founded Cool The Globe from my college dorm room and worked on it during my internship period. Being an avid viewer of Shark Tank India inspired me to grow our app for climate action as a startup. I feel that my entrepreneurial journey has come a full circle after appearing on the tank."

The Product / Service

Cool The Globe is the world's most comprehensively gamified personal carbon footprint reduction app, providing individuals with hundreds of simple daily actions across six categories (travel, food, energy, materials, waste, lifestyle) that collectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions at a measurable, trackable, and globally aggregated scale. The app's core innovation is converting the abstract concept of "carbon footprint" into specific, daily, achievable actions: choosing public transport over car (X kg saved), eating vegetarian meals (Y kg saved), reducing AC usage (Z kg saved). Each action's emissions impact is calculated and added to the user's Personal Dashboard, where monthly and yearly reduction targets create accountability. The Global Dashboard aggregates all users' collective impact, answering the question "Can one individual make a difference?" with measurable data.

Pitch Presentation

Prachi walked into the Shark Tank stage as part of Season 3's special Ecopreneurs episode (alongside Canvaloop and Digital Paani), creating the most environmentally focused episode of the entire season. She opened with the climate urgency that frames every aspect of Cool The Globe: climate change is the defining challenge of our generation, and while governments and corporations debate policies, individual citizens can start reducing their carbon footprint today through simple daily choices. "I still remember my heart racing five minutes before the pitch. Thankfully, once the music played and I faced the sharks, I brought my A-game and the pitch went smoothly. The next hour was a mix of tough questions, fun banter, valuable insights, and heartwarming support from the Sharks." The app demonstration showed the carbon footprint tracking in action: how each user's daily choices are converted into measurable emissions reductions, aggregated into personal and global dashboards, and gamified through challenges and community competitions.

Sharks' Reactions & Criticism

Namita Thapar exited because the app's model was too straightforward to replicate. Azhar Iqubal (guest Shark) rejected the pitch citing the risk of users manipulating data inputs to falsify emission reductions. Vineeta Singh (or fifth Shark present) did not invest, sharing concerns about the app's commercial viability and revenue model sustainability. Aman Gupta invested partly due to his wife's personal interest in climate activism, creating a genuine family-level mission alignment that extended beyond commercial investment rationale. Radhika Gupta (guest Shark) saw the climate action mission's alignment with Edelweiss' growing ESG investment focus.

Negotiation & Offers

Prachi asked ₹25 lakhs for 5% equity (₹5 crore valuation). Three Sharks exited (Namita on defensibility, Azhar on data integrity, and the fifth Shark on commercial viability). Aman and Radhika jointly offered ₹25 lakhs for 8% equity (₹3.125 crore valuation). Prachi accepted after negotiations. The valuation dropped 37.5% from ₹5 crore to ₹3.125 crore, and equity diluted from 5% to 8%, but the two-Shark combination provided consumer app scaling (Aman) and institutional ESG partnership access (Radhika) that the climate action app needed most.

Final Verdict

Prachi Shevgaonkar accepted the two-Shark deal from Aman Gupta and Radhika Gupta at ₹25 lakhs for 8% equity, valuing Cool The Globe at ₹3.125 crore. The deal brought India's most prominent consumer tech brand builder (Aman, whose wife's climate activism created personal conviction) and India's most respected female institutional finance leader (Radhika, whose Edelweiss ESG focus aligned with corporate sustainability partnerships) into the world's most gamified personal climate action platform.

Beyond Shark Tank

The startup's Shark Tank India moment amplified its reach. Appearing on Season 3, Cool The Globe sought investment to scale user acquisition and product features and walked away with an on-air deal. Investors Aman Gupta and Radhika Gupta committed ₹25 lakhs in exchange for equity. The deal validated Prachi's vision, converting media attention into tangible backing and putting the brand into a new growth phase. Cool The Globe continues its exponential global impact trajectory. Users now span 150 plus countries (up from 110 at pitch). The collective emissions reduction has grown to approximately 7.8 million kg of CO2 equivalent, the absorption capacity of over 390,843 trees. The app features have expanded to include Carbon Credit purchases, tree sponsorship in the Cool The Globe Forest, and Event Carbon Footprint Meters. Prachi's personal recognition continues accelerating: Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2024 selection, COP27 Young Scholar Award, advisory role at Tata Power on climate strategy, and leadership of the Next Generation India Fellowship position her as one of India's most prominent young climate voices.
