Entrepreneur Background

Gaurav Brar and Ashish Gupta are Season 4's most mission-driven EdTech founders from Bengaluru. Ashish's personal story became the pitch's most emotionally resonant narrative: growing up in a Hindi-medium educational background, he experienced firsthand the career discrimination that non-English-speaking Indians face in corporate India. "The pitcher, who was joined by his co-founder, stated that candidates who are proficient in English are given favour in the corporate sector. According to him, people who speak English will also be able to make a lot more money than people who speak other regional languages."

The Product / Service

Bambinos.live delivers live online tutoring through three carefully designed programmes that address the most critical developmental needs of children aged 4 to 12. Unbox English teaches the three pillars of language learning (reading, speaking, writing) through interactive sessions that build not just linguistic skills but confidence in self-expression. Alpha Maths develops foundational mathematical thinking through problem-solving and critical reasoning. Little Yogi introduces children to yoga and mindfulness, addressing mental health and physical wellness alongside academics. The Bambinos Doodle is the platform's most technologically innovative feature: an AI-enabled camera that livestreams a child's handwriting in real time to their teacher, enabling instant feedback on letter formation, sentence construction, and creative writing. Unlike screen-based typing (which most online education relies on), Bambinos Doodle preserves the cognitive benefits of handwriting (better memory rete

Pitch Presentation

Gaurav and Ashish walked into Season 4 Episode 26 as the episode's most personally passionate EdTech founders. Ashish's Hindi-medium background confession immediately established the pitch's emotional foundation: a man who experienced English-language discrimination firsthand was now building a platform to ensure that no Indian child faces the same barrier. The financial metrics stunned the panel: ₹30 crore projected revenue for the current year, 10x growth over 3 years, and 15% EBITDA margin in a sector notorious for cash burning. These numbers positioned Bambinos.live as one of India's most financially disciplined EdTech companies. The Bambinos Doodle demonstration showcased the AI camera technology: a child writing on paper while the teacher watched the livestream and provided instant feedback on screen.

Sharks' Reactions & Criticism

Peyush Bansal validated the English-language bias in corporate India from personal experience but opted out. Aman Gupta acknowledged the market opportunity but opted out on similar scalability and unit economics concerns. Anupam Mittal saw the intersection of technology (Bambinos Doodle), education, and economic empowerment that aligned with his consumer platform scaling expertise. Namita Thapar recognised the developmental health and wellness dimension (Little Yogi programme) alongside the academic offering. Ritesh Agarwal saw the distributed operations scaling opportunity: managing 250 teachers across a live online platform mirrors OYO's challenge of managing thousands of properties across distributed locations.

Negotiation & Offers

Founders asked ₹1 crore for 1% (₹100 crore). Peyush and Aman exited on scalability concerns. Anupam, Namita, and Ritesh jointly offered ₹1 crore for 1.5% equity plus 1% royalty until ₹1 crore recouped (₹66.67 crore valuation). Founders accepted. The valuation dropped 33% from ₹100 crore to ₹66.67 crore, and the royalty component adds an ongoing payment obligation, but the founders secured three strategically complementary Sharks: consumer platform scaling (Anupam), healthcare and wellness credentials (Namita), and distributed operations management (Ritesh).

Final Verdict

Gaurav Brar and Ashish Gupta accepted the three-Shark deal from Anupam Mittal, Namita Thapar, and Ritesh Agarwal at ₹1 crore for 1.5% equity plus 1% royalty until ₹1 crore is recouped, valuing Bambinos.live at ₹66.67 crore. The deal was confirmed and closed per BW Disrupt. The three-Shark combination provides consumer platform scaling (Anupam), healthcare and child wellness expertise (Namita), and distributed operations management for a 250-teacher platform (Ritesh) into India's most EBITDA-positive live online tutoring startup.

Beyond Shark Tank

"We are incredibly excited about the prospect of onboarding three Sharks to Bambinos.Live. Having them on board is not just a powerful validation of our vision, but also a testament to the trust in what we have already built and the ambitious roadmap we are set to achieve." The deal was confirmed and closed, with BW Disrupt reporting that Bambinos.live will use the funding for three priorities: enhancing the Bambinos Doodle AI camera technology (making real-time writing feedback even more responsive and accurate), strengthening the tech stack (improving platform stability for growing student numbers), and boosting marketing activities (reaching more parents across India). "With sophisticated learning tools, the company said that it is looking to tap into the $10 billion opportunity in the online tutoring market. The company claimed that 65% of all parents in K-5 are not satisfied with the education that their kids are receiving in schools and 9 out of 10 kids in India are not able to speak English properly."
